Manegesha and Wuchecha Mountains

There were several mountains near Addis Ababa. One was called Manegesha which was roundish in shape with a church on the top. Another was called Furi, it had two large slabs of stone on the top very close together, if you had told a lie, they would close on you. The other much larger one was called Wuchecha which rose to 12,000 ft. It had a small railway running down it with carts that carried the tree trunks for chopping wood and sawing into planks.

Fatal Le was the nearest mountain, it was a volcano which was still alive. Hot springs gave off water and went into a pool which was vivid blue. It was much too hot to venture into.
